Saint-Maclou at Rouen

1434 - 1490

Why is it canonical?

Saint-Maclou exemplifies the final phase of Gothic architecture in France, called the Flamboyant phase. So covered in decoration and ornamentaion is the exterior of the building that the bones of the structure are barely identifiable.
