Ordinatio

circa 1295

Why is it canonical?

Duns Scotus was, along with Aquinas and Occam, one of the main philosophers of scholasticism, finding a home at one of the burgeoning universities of Europe (Oxford) much like his contemporaries. And like his contemporaries, he argued using tools from the toolbox Aristotle provided, exploring very abstract questions like the meaning of existence and and the existence of God.
