St. Peter's

1546 - 1564

Why is it canonical?

St. Peter's is the seat of the Catholic Church. Although designed and constructed over many years by many architects and builders, the design was finished by the famous Michelangelo. The design borrows heavily from the design of the Duomo of Florence, Michelangelo's hometown.
